10 ways my dad made my life hard by being the best dad in the world!

This title is 100% truth. My dad has made sooo many things so hard. My sister can attest to this claim, too.

But my sister and I are the two luckiest girls in the world and I'll give you 10 reasons why!

10. My dad has set the bar so high for men in general that it's hard to take someone serious when they ask for a handyman service recommendation...aren't ALL men handy??

9. My dad has made it so hard to not question what's wrong with a man who doesn't shake your hand and speak when they walk in a room...or one that doesn't own a pair of work boots...don't even go there🙈

8. My dad has made it incredibly hard to go with the crowd because he's always taken a stand for what's right no matter what anyone else thought.

7. My dad has made it hard for me to give up on anything because that's NOT who he is and that's NOT who he raised me to be!

6. My dad has made it hard for me to watch any John Wayne movie without quoting at least 75% of it or listen to any Elvis song...Especially the Live Vegas Edition...and not beat on the dash, sing every word..even the spoken ones..and sing every high back-up note like Kathy Westmoreland.

5. My dad has made it hard to watch people in need and not jump into action..strangers and friends alike..not because he told me to, but because he's always shown us by his actions.

4. My dad has made it hard to not believe that God is in control and still performing miracles because he is proof that God answers prayers every single day.

3. My dad has made it hard to be the coolest person in the room my whole life, but really upped his game when he became Papa. Seriously who can compete with him?

2. My dad has made it hard to find anybody in the world that loves his family the way he does.

1. And the hardest thing my dad has done is make it impossible to find any other man in the entire world who measures up to him!!!

I love you, Dad!!! Happy Father's Day!

If you didn't know by now I am beyond thankful and grateful to grow up being the daughter of this man. I wouldn't be the person I am had it not been for his love, tough love, hard work and example.

P.s. For those of you who feel the same pain my mom feels from losing her father years before he ever should've been taken from us, please know that you're not alone and it's ok to feel what you're feeling. There are no words I can say that will heal your heart and the pain you feel from a loss or an absent father in your life.
God desires to be your Heavenly Father and fill every void your heart feels and it's my prayer that you lean on Him today!
Celebrate Him!
The greatest Father you could ever know!
