You and Yours & Me and Mine

Given the state of everything going on in our country and world right now many people are really struggling with what to do.

I see rant after rant about how we need to do this or do that to stand up for what we believe in. People have a solution for their side of the matter, where they think you should stand and all the people they believe are wrong.

I've been quiet and just searching my own heart on so many different things. I've prayed and asked God to show me what's best for us and His answer is the same it's been time after time.

Matthew 22:37-40
Jesus said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

So if you ask me what I'm going to do about everything going on in the world this is my answer. I'm going to love God and I'm going to love people. I'm going to take care of my household and raise them to do the same.

The polls won't fix this.

The protests won't fix this.

The masks and hand sanitizer won't fix this.

Jesus.

Jesus always has been and always will be the answer.

You take care of you and yours and I'll take care of me and mine.

That is all we can do.

The enemy would love nothing more than to distract us and place blame by pointing our finger. We all have only ONE true enemy and that's the devil himself.

People aren't the problem.

Germs aren't the problem.

Lacking anything is not the problem..except love.

Love your neighbor as yourself.

Love.

When we do this we are inherently following all the other commandments and abiding in His love.

So the next time you hear someone panicking over the state of our world just remind them of this....

God hasn't changed.

The Bible hasn't changed.

God is still God.

His words haven't changed.

And what He commands of us hasn't changed.

In an ever changing world Jesus is still the same.

So love your family.

Love each and every person you come in contact with.

We can't fix everything in the world.

But we can be effective in our own homes.

If you take care of yours and I take care of mine the world will be better off for it.
