The only difference between me & Batman is a sick car and looking good in leather... - Life. Love. Jesus. Everything in between.

Ok.

I know what you're thinking...

There ain't no way in the world that I am anything like Batman.

Well, hear me out for a minute.

One time I bought some very cute, but very cheap and cheaply made Spanx leather legging dupes on Amazon. If you have ever seen me wear them I am going to ruin something for you. Leather, pleather, thick trash bag material, whatever them britches were made out of did not have the ability to breath. I wore them in 30 degree weather in Boston and was still wishing they would breathe if you know what I'm saying. Being from Florida I am used to sweat rolling down your back and crack, but them dang leggings were on a whole 'NOTHER level. Very cute though. Probably were worth it. LOL

P.s. Leather is like Jesus, sticks closer than a brother. For real, for real. If you know, you know.

But yall. Batman...

Did you know...he has no supernatural powers...?

I JUST found out about 2 or 3 days ago that Batman does not have any super powers...

Isn't he a super hero though?? Like...

Like none...other than the fact that he has a lot of money and he's smarter than average and pushes himself physically to keep his body in great shape....

I had never really thought about it. I just assumed...superheros had super powers....silly me.

Ok. So again...how is that anything like me?

Well I just can't get over the fact that having witnessed something awful as a child like his parents being murdered, Bruce Wayne, Batman decided he would do whatever he could to make a difference in the world.

Batman could've used what happened to him as a crutch for life. He could be angry at the world and treat others the way he felt they deserved because of his loss. Instead, he devoted his life to fight crime and take care of those in need at any cost.

I've not had a traumatic childhood and I do not look good in a leather bodysuit. I know that last part is a SHOCK.

I have no super powers, I don't have a fortune, and I most certainly do not have a body ready to fight crime...again SHOCKING, but I do have something Batman has.

You see, Batman is technically an underdog - being that he is the ONLY super hero who is powerless, and I can relate.

Batman has a small circle and only a few people he really trusts.

Batman did not let his circumstances get him down.

Batman used what he had for GOOD.

Batman probably looked crazy to a LOT of people, but he didn't care.

Batman refused to give up no matter how hard it got.

So what I'm telling you is I have made up my mind to be more like Batman.

Yes, we ultimately want to be like Jesus.

No, I'm not saying Batman is anywhere near Jesus on the "who I want to be like when I grow up" scale, but it's not a bad idea to take a page from Batman's book.

So maybe you should think about being like Batman too.

Do NOT add a leather bodysuit to your Amazon cart. No. Please. No. But those leggings..maybe.

But here's a few things you can do..

The next time life knocks you down get back up stronger.

The next time you feel stupid, but you're putting your heart and soul into something.. KEEP going!

If you ever find yourself in a dark place do your best to rise by helping others.

If you have a chance to drive a Bat Mobile never turn down the opportunity and maybe, just maybe, in that scenario order the dang leather suit.

Just whatever you do, DON'T look around at all the other "super hero" people around you and compare you powers. Truth is you don't need do anything to gain any extra special super power...you already have all the power you need.

It's called Jesus. He's your super power if you let Him be.

If you don't know how to use that power just ask Him and He will show up.

No Bat Signal needed!

P.s. If you see me wearing a Batman tee anytime soon you'll know why! And if you see me in the leather bodysuit...well...it's not me.
